I'm Madeline! My favorite specialities include documentary videography, portraiture, and video editing. I'm a Spring 2025 graduate of Western Kentucky University, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Photojournalism with a minor in Digital Advertising. I am a former student-athlete on the Cross Country/Track & Field team, which has helped me learn the tough skills of time management. From telling stories through my camera to running for miles on end, all I know is "busy".
I am a Louisville, Ky. native, whose love for the arts started as soon as I could put a pen to paper. From drawing, painting, Irish step dancing and more, all I have known is art. Arriving in Bowling Green as a freshman, I had no prior photography knowledge other than a strong curiosity for the craft. Once I joined the photojournalism program at WKU, I quickly knew this was my calling. Nothing had ever felt more right in my life.
I have an eagerness to learn. New perspectives excite me. The idea of helping others through my craft motivates me to keep going. This isn't just a job for me, it's service. I strive to serve my community and share stories people need to hear.
From a girl raised with the ability to feel the emotions art can provoke to the confident multimedia storyteller I am today, I have come a long way. Though the job is never done, because stories will always need to be told.
I am currently interning at KERTIS Creative in Louisville, Kentucky, as the Production Intern, growing my skills in videography, video editing, and more.
